1924

Kunimatsu Kondo opens Kondo Kunimatsu Works in Monzen-chō, Higashi Ward, Nagoya, marking the company’s founding as a bicycle-parts workshop.

1933

The works move to Miyamachi 3-chōme, Higashi Ward and launch a retail chain for bicycles and spare parts.

Kunimatsu Kondo opens Kondo Kunimatsu Works in Monzen-chō, Higashi Ward, Nagoya, marking the company’s founding as a bicycle-parts workshop.

1933

The works move to Miyamachi 3-chōme, Higashi Ward and launch a retail chain for bicycles and spare parts.

1933

KK Ren-Sa headquarters is set up in Miyamachi 2-chōme and briefly grows to 300 stores nationwide. During wartime, the four-storey head office is destroyed in a March 1944 bombing.

1949

In partnership with Daiei Sangyo Co. (now Toyota Tsusho) and Aichi Toyota Motor Co., a one-third joint venture forms Aichi Toyomotor Co. The company first produces bicycle accessories—cushioned front forks, saddles—then complete engine-powered vehicles, and also sells the Daihatsu Midget three-wheeler.

1949

Signs a special dealership agreement with Yamaha Motor and adopts the new corporate name Konkuni Co., Ltd.

2000

Relocates the assembly plant to its current site in Hiromi, Shōwa Ward, Nagoya.
